PROJECT OBJECTIVE
The sconces were designed as true works of art, intended to enhance the space with warm and inviting light. Each sconce was crafted from brass treated with a rose gold galvanic finish, complemented by a front covering in custom-worked onyx. The high quality of the materials was lighting design paired with careful attention to light diffusion: the shape of the sconce and the placement of the onyx element were designed to create a soft, enveloping light, without glare, while distributing the illumination evenly across the surrounding spaces. With a height of 30 cm, each sconce was designed to perfectly fit the spaces, both in more intimate areas such as the master bedroom and in other parts of the home where soft lighting is essential to create a refined atmosphere.

CONTEXT
The project takes shape from the desire to offer a new interpretation of Murano glass, preserving its artisanal essence while translating it into a contemporary aesthetic language. The aim was to create a dialogue between the material richness and refinement of this iconic glass and new forms, balanced proportions, and lighting solutions designed for modern interiors. The design process moved along the fine line between tradition and innovation, seeking to preserve the authentic beauty of Murano glass—its transparency, unique craftsmanship, and timeless elegance—while redefining its role through a design approach that aligns with contemporary spatial contexts. The result is a new vision, where Murano glass is no longer just a decorative element but becomes the protagonist of a luminous narrative in which craftsmanship, functionality, and modern design blend harmoniously.
PROJECT PHASES
The work developed through several phases, ensuring a careful and targeted design process.

Complete project
The complete project involved the creation of 3 main elements:
- Riflesso
- GocceDiMare
- LuceNelGhiaccio
A key aspect in the design of the pendant lights was the study of the shape and craftsmanship of the Murano glass, aimed at achieving light that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. Each pendant was designed to optimize light diffusion, ensuring adequate illumination for the space without compromising the visual effect. The use of irregular and conical glass shapes in the first pendant and the drop shape in the second, combined with meticulous planning of the glass placement, allowed for a perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality. The light diffuses softly throughout the space, creating reflections and shadows that enhance the room’s atmosphere, without being too intense or harsh.
