On board a yacht, lighting is not just a matter of visibility—it's an essential element to enhance spaces, create welcoming atmospheres, and ensure optimal visual comfort in every environment. For the prestigious yacht Caroline I, we developed a fully custom lighting project, carefully designed to integrate with the vessel’s specific structural and stylistic features.
One of the most challenging aspects of the project was working with the reduced thicknesses typical of marine carpentry, which required compact and highly efficient solutions. For this reason, we designed and produced ultra-low-profile custom spotlights, capable of perfectly adapting to the limited space without compromising lighting quality. The light distribution was precisely studied to ensure uniform, glare-free illumination, meeting both technical requirements and the shipyard’s specific needs.
The lighting is developed on multiple levels to create a more dynamic and sophisticated perception of the interiors. LED profiles positioned near the floor define pathways and add depth to the spaces, offering soft, diffused light that accompanies movement on board without being intrusive. This choice not only contributes to the refined interior design but also improves safety and usability, especially during evening hours.
For the cabins, the lighting was approached in a more decorative way, combining functional lighting in the working areas with custom-designed lamps that add warmth and character to private spaces. The result is a tailor-made lighting system that blends aesthetics, technology, and comfort, enhancing the elegance of the interiors and highlighting every architectural detail.
A project where light and design blend harmoniously, offering an exclusive lighting experience perfectly integrated with the yacht’s overall concept.
