The outdoor lighting of Villa Mostaccini in Bordighera was designed to enhance the charm of this historic residence without altering its inherent elegance. The goal was to enrich the villa and its landscape with a sophisticated and non-invasive lighting design, capable of blending with the surrounding architecture and nature.

To achieve this balance, fixtures with essential shapes were selected—technically advanced yet visually discreet. The facade is enhanced through grazing light that highlights the stone texture and emphasizes the architectural details, creating a scenographic effect that is striking yet refined.

In the gardens, the lighting complements the landscape without overwhelming it: recessed spotlights highlight the centuries-old olive trees and Mediterranean vegetation, creating evocative contrasts of light and shadow. The goal was to reveal the natural beauty of the site, adding depth to the spaces while also ensuring functional lighting.

Special attention was given to the swimming pool, the visual centerpiece of the outdoor area, illuminated with submerged light sources that enhance the water's reflections and amplify the space's relaxing atmosphere. The lighting is designed to offer a soft and enveloping effect, making the pool the focal point of evening gatherings.

Every detail was carefully considered to create a perfect balance between technology and discretion, so that the light remains an almost imperceptible presence, yet one capable of transforming the space and highlighting the magnificence of Villa Mostaccini even during the evening hours.
